The Whole Picture

Most people's legal work is scattered — a will from one office, an LLC from a website, a deed from whoever did the closing. Nobody's checked whether they agree with each other. Here, the business plan knows what the estate plan is doing. That's the point of one practice: nothing gets built at cross-purposes, and nothing gets built twice.

Christian Cholhan

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL ATTORNEY

Before I was a lawyer, I certified and trained ski instructors as a Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) examiner. The effortless-looking carved turn everyone sees was actually decided earlier, in the setup.

The law works the same way. Estate plans, contracts, and business structures aren't tested when they're drafted. They're tested when you have to rely on them.

Having worked in litigation, I’ve watched that test play out. As a business owner, I lived it, signing contracts I’d be held to.

Carve Law exists to get the setup right. I help families and business owners make sound legal decisions before they're urgent, with no surprises.

Behind the Craft

A Christian before anything else. It's why I approach this work as stewardship, not paperwork.

  • Husband and father.

  • Built and ran my own business before founding Carve.

  • I'd rather fix something than replace it. That goes for estate plans too.

  • Philosophy major, then law school — I've never been able to hand someone a document without explaining why it's built that way.

  • Lifelong skier, former PSIA examiner — now teaching my kids to ski.

  • Love the outdoors — camping, skiing, hunting, biking with my family.

Not sure where to start?

That's fine. Sorting it out is my job. One conversation, and you'll know what's worth doing, what it costs, and what can wait.
